I just got done building a new laser, and it keeps flickering. I don't have any new batteries but the ones i am using just barely give the flexdrive 3 volts. Should it start flickering at this voltage?
Hehe, i found that the driver was only connected by one strand of the wire, so it was a pretty bad connection. I am going to go fix it.nvmextc said:3v is like 2xaaa's. So it shouldn't be flickering. But some people have posted about experiencing this with their flexidrive when the batteries got low, so maybe it is time to get new batteries.
Ok, i'll try it.Ace82 said:If it happens after you resolder the power lead, and try fully charged battery, then it could be a sign that the LD's damaged, because I've seen that 3 times with my blu rays, and usually they die really quick!
First, when i turned it on, it didn't flicker, and was strong, then when i tampered with the connections and it started flickering :-/Ace82 said:If it happens after you resolder the power lead, and try fully charged battery, then it could be a sign that the LD's damaged, because I've seen that 3 times with my blu rays, and usually they die really quick!
