Hey all,

This is my third thread, my second one being posted just yesterday. My laser now works, but it isn't as powerful as I hoped it to be. The host heats up after around 30 seconds of being on.

Attached is a photo of the laser. There is not even a beam.

The specs are as follows:
Aurora C6
LPC-826 diode
Mohgasm 478mA driver
2 Trustfire 16340 cells (3.7V each)

Am I doing anything wrong? Or is it meant to be at this power?

How hot does it get? Something could be shorted in there/

Blord said in your first thread that you damaged your diode by using the wrong batteries. Did you put a new diode in, or are you trying to salvage the first one?

Thanks for your replies guys.

Zeebit, it gets a noticeable warm feeling after 30 seconds and quite hot at 1 minute.

Cromagnum, I am still using the first diode. I thought Blord had said that my driver was fried, not my diode..could it have been my diode though? I read somewhere that too much voltage would kill the driver and too much current would kill the diode.
