Hello all,

I'm looking for a good systematic way to set my lasers to be focused at infinity. I want to do this because I'll be combining RGB diodes and I would like the beam to be as straight as possible. I want to then either glue the lens in place or keep it from moving somehow.

What I'm doing currently is shining the laser at low power at a wall ~15m away and focus them to the smallest dot size as possible. However, doing it this way would set the focus at ~15m not infinity. I've thought about reflecting the laser between mirrors to obtain a larger distance but I'm not really comfortable with a laser beam that could potentially reflect to somewhere I don't want.

Does anyone have experience doing this that could offer some advice? Thanks!

You could try pointing the laser on a far away building at night, and focus it while looking through binoculars. There are likely better ways, but this is the best I could do.
