Hello people. This is my first post here. I'm new to lasers and know very little about them, but after browsing the forum I realize that this may likely become an obsession. I'm currently looking to purchase my first high power hand held pointer.
This may be a silly question, but any help/advice would be much appreciated.
I'm looking to make a portable laser image projector. The one showed on this site --
w w w . instructables.com/id/Laser-Image-Projector/ -- seems to do the job, but I'm wondering if it would be possible to make something even simpler and more portable, and use it on distances up to 50-100 meters. I suppose what I'm after is some sort of "laser grafitti torch" which utilizes a hand held laser pointer, a couple of lenses and a slide. The object is to project images on walls and slanted surfaces, so I'm thinking the slide holder must be adjustable, and the device could be attached to a tabletop tripod and put on the ground.
So, would it be possible/easy to display an image on a wall about 50-100 meters away by using a 200-300mW green laser, lenses and a slide?
(I realize, of course, that lasers must be used with caution.)
Many thanks.
BTW, after finding this clip, I realize the possibilities are endless.
