We all started like this. Seeing our friend that has a nice laser pointer. You end up here and you start to be curious and you did not know what to do. Building a laser sounds cool but how? That is how i ended up here. If you guys can take a small portion of your time just to tell me what i need to get to make a laser that would be great.

there are tons of links and threads in the tutorial section. check out the I want to build a laser thread. if you use the search button and type it in you will get tons of threads to look at and read. Reading threads and looking at those tutorials will help you in more ways than asking questions. :) hope this helps bud and good luck.

Start with the So you want to build a laser thread. Then once you decide on a budget go to the buy sell trade section.
There's several members that make just the hosts, others the modules and optics. But by all means see the laser safety threads. I personally like to just buy completed lasers though.

Hi TheUtensil, welcome to the forum and lasers. Please remember that any laser over 5mW has the potential to cause serious harm to your eyes so the first thing you want to get along with your laser is laser goggles. As the members above stated, use the search function and you will find absolutely everything needed to build a laser. Or post detailed and specific questions and we will help you out. Have fun and be safe :)

Welcome to the forums. Remember to wear safety goggle when using more than 5mw laser and watch your wallet :beer:

Fill out your profile.
Start at the top, Click every subforum, read all stickies.
Buy safety Goggles first.
Read everyone's signatures. There is quite useful information on alot of veteran's signatures. That's how I find alot of good info too.
