How to remove moisture/condensation from beneath lens of Wicked Laser - Executive?!

Sorry if there is already a thread for this, but I've used the on-site Google search to try and find something similar, and to no avail.

I am the owner of a Wicked Lasers 35mw Executive series pointer.

Please, I don't wanna hear any junk about how overpriced or lame Wicked Lasers are. I do not care. It was a gift, and I love it. Please do not waste this thread on controversy!

Several months ago, I took a trip to humid California. Upon returning to dry AZ, I noticed my laser no longer was a dot, but rather a dot with a large ring around it. It's not noticeable when pointing long distances, but anything 100 yards or closer, it bugs me, ESPECIALLY up close. Worst of all, the laser is noticeably less bright than before (though still VERY bright, of course).

Basically, if you've been through the troubleshooting section of the Wicked Lasers Master Guide, my laser looks EXACTLY like the one with moisture issues.

I am certain that it is not on the outside of the lens. I have blown compressed air and carefully cleaned the surface; no difference. This moisture is BENEATH the lens, on the other side.

Once upon a time, I found a YouTube video demonstrating how to disassemble the laser and carefully clean the lens, but I did not have the balls or the equipment to do it, and figured i would come back to it someday. well, now I cannot find that video, or any article to demonstrate how this is done. I'm sick of being frustrated by this, and am at a loss as of what to do. I hope this thread can become helpful for other people with my problem, as i imagine this is far from an isolated case.

I've attached three pics of what it looks like on a glossy white door, the carpet, and my beige matte wall. Hope that helps...

Obviously, I want to avoid damaging my laser (further), as it is still both functional and impressive, it's just... for lack of a better word, gross. So if anyone has constructive advice/know how, please and thank you...

If the moisture is truly beneath the lens, the only way I know of to get rid of it is to remove the lens and clean it thoroughly with a cotton swab soake in 90% isopropyl alcohol. As I have never cleaned that laser specifically, I can't give you any tips about how to remove the lens. All I can tell you is that removing the lens is the only way to clean the inner surface.

I had this same problem when the Spyder II I had leaked. I put a bunch of dessication in it and in a couple days it was dry.

Ok, I suppose I figured that was the only solution, but part of me was just hoping... one of my friends who is an EE suggested possibly putting in the oven at like 140 for a while, and see what happens... not sure about that though, haha

Does anyone know how to remove the lens from a Wicked Laser - Executive Series? Any other recommendations for cleaning the lens? Just swab it with alcohol?

What's dessication?! Should that work for the Exectutive series?

go to walmart and head for the footware aisles and steal a bunch of little silica gel baggies out of the shoes and put them in a sealed tupperware container with your laser for a week or so. just an idea

Put it in a box sealed, with silica gel, and left it inside for some days, only be sure that silica gel is dry (blue is ok, if pink is used and exhausted)

interesting... I will definitely have to try that now! I'll report back in a few days if that did the trick or not.

The silica gel idea will most likely work to remove the moisture, but don't be too surprised to find residue left over after the moisture dries..

residue on the inside of the lens?! Sigh... out of the frying pan, and into the fire. Well, I still need to find both tupperware and the little buggers themselves, so...
