I've put up pictures instructions for those who want to know how to extract the diodes and optics from the GBW-H10N 4x BR sled. The one from AMK GB.
I think its important to show how to remove the optics aswell as the diodes, because alot of people out there want to remove the optics but dont know how. I will also show how to remove the diodes and optics from the Phr-803T sled on my GB thread abit later on.

There was alittle confusion at the start before everyone got there sleds and confirmed that these are actually not the GGW-H20L 6X BR sleds but the GBW-H10N 4X BR sled. Only because AMKDEATH supplier of these sleds told him they were the same, but indeed are not.
But just as nice and for that price, nobody complaining :)

This the the sled from the box, it hasnt had anything removed. Its Best to have a ESD dissapater mat like the one you can see i used on or the straps you can use to put around your wrist to elliminate any ESD. The diodes are very sensitive to any little electric discharge to it, and can kill your diode.

So here it is, i hope it helps.

Tommy

Re: How to extract diode and Optics from 6x GGW-H2

1st thing you need to do is remove all the screws around the sled that you can see, with a phillip screwdriver.

There are more screws when you remove other parts, so keep an eye out for those.

After you remove them all, get a pair of pliers and remove the piece i marked on the picture, the piece that connectes the circuit wires from the sled. Than cut all the connection wires thats connected to that piece, so that nothing is attaached and you can remove that piece.

Re: How to extract diode and Optics from 6x GGW-H2

After that is done.

You should be able to remove the top piece shown on this picture with a flat crew driver, just wedge it in between the sled and that top piece and snap it out. Its only glues on so it should come off really easy.

There to lense there that you can see and 1 more square glass lense under one of the round lense ontop.

Here a pitcure of that top piece you should of removed from the sled.

Remember to cut all wires connected to the sled.

Now that you have removed the 2 top section and taken the optics out from them.

Go on to taking the PCB piece from the sled, with all the screws removed, it should lift up with a piler or tweezer.

Cut all the wires from it thats connected to the diodes. You can throw hat piece away when you have removed it.

Re: How to extract diode and Optics from 6x GGW-H2

Now this is how it should look like from the top, with that last piece removed, you can now see more glass optics under it. They are all glued into place so just use a fine tip flat head screw driver or whatever works best for you and gently push on 1 side only so its moved from its glued possition.

Once its moved and its loose from the frame, you can use tweezers and lift them out.

there are some little groove that you can get a fine tip srewdriver in btween and push out on the optics, i've marked the ones i used.

OK, once thats done, you can turn the sled over to the back. On the back theres the thin piece of alluminum sheet that covers the internal of he sled. Remove where its glued onto the frame of the sled. its only glued on so forcing it apart is easy.

After thats done, you can remove that piece from the sled. You should see somthing like the picture here.

Now, you should twist off all those little tab that looks like flat heatsink that glued onto the frame to remove the circuit piece from the sled.

Once removed you should see somthing like on this picture. Theres alot of glass optics under there, 8 in total.

Re: How to extract diode and Optics from 6x GGW-H2

Now well work from the right side first. On the right side you can see 3 big glass optics. you can use the same technic as before with the flathead screw driver or you can get a sharp pointy object and turn the sled over to remove it.

I prefer doing it with a sharp pointy obeject as it doesnt crack the glass.

Re: How to extract diode and Optics from 6x GGW-H2

Heres the picture on the back of those 3 optics. Here you can see the 3 holes i marked where these glass optic sits ontop of. you can identify them easily buy looking for the holes with the glue in them. Get your pointy object and poke into the hole through the glue, you should be able to feel the optic poping out from their glued in position.

Re: How to extract diode and Optics from 6x GGW-H2

Now turn the sled back over and go move onto the left side of the sled.

Theres 4 big glass optics on this side. one of them is harder to see because its infront of the diode.

Do the same thing you done to the otherside, by turning the sled over and pushing through the glued holes. they should pop out easily also. The ones without the holes to pop out, you can just use a fine tipped pliers to gently losen it from the glue and pull it out.

Heres the hole from the back.

The circle marked in blue, you can use a flathead screwdriver and put the tip laying flat against the glass and push down on it so it will fall from the otherside. somtimes its still sticks onto by alittle glue, so in that case you can pull it out with your pilers or tweezer.

Re: How to extract diode and Optics from 6x GGW-H2

Heres a picture of those 3 glass optics removed.

Theres another one infront of the diode. But theres a alluminum piece in front of it, so it seems hard, but no!!!! use your pliers and get a grip on the tabs and pull it out. Its only glued onto the sled.

Im starting to think that these sleds were made byy school kids with their little glue sticks!!!

Re: How to extract diode and Optics from 6x GGW-H2

No that you have done that, theres only 3 optics left.

Use the flathead again and push against the glued area marked to loosen the centre black piece. once thats done, you can remove the whole piece out.
When you have done that you can see the optics from the side of it. Just use fine tip pliers and pull it out gently.
