Ive got everything stripped except for the stupid pill-type thingy. And i tried pulling and twisting on it with needle nose pliers but i couldnt get it to budge. So how do i even get it to come off? I'll post pics if needed. :thanks:

take of the button and stick a torx 6(i think) down there and unscrew it then it will slide out. if it is an older one its a hex wrench just find one that fits it

yep you will have to :undecided: take the light to a hardware store and try out torx and hex wrenches. when did you buy it?

You'll be needing a Torx T8, a T handle preferably or a regular handle with a slim shaft. I bought a set of Torx screwdrivers at Lowe's and ended up having to grind down the shaft to be able to fit down that hole. ;)

I'm going to give this thread a little
resurrection because I found a torx driver
at Home Depot that fits, albeit somewhat
tightly, without grinding. It is the Husky
9-piece torx mini folding hex key set 1000
009 931. It is just long enough to turn
the screw in a 2-D, which should qualify it
for any Mag. The fit is pretty tight, at
least on my Lite, but I was able to turn
the screw with it.

When looking at torx bits.....smaller ones are available they are referred to as "precision" tools.
