How do I connect, battery/driver/test load?

Hello.
It is my first time I built lasers, I have read and thought I had understood how to connect battery/driver/test load, but my DMM is just stands on 0.00 when I try to measure mA.

So I must do something wrong :-[

Is there somebody that can draw posetiv and negative wire into my drawing or if they have a drawing that shows exactly how everything is connect?

How many volts are you using?[edit]I have just looked at your picture, 3volts is not enough ;)[/edit]

You need a minimum of 5v, any less than that and the driver will not work properly, I would suggest 7.2V ( 2 X RCR123A batteries).
Once you have the correct supply going in you can measure the mv as shown through the 1 ohm resistor so 1mv = 1ma.

Stupid me!
Now I have tried with 2 x cr123 battery's, And I measure from 27mV to 436mV, And that should be right :)

It is because I shall use the "Micro Flex Drive" when I get them (and they only use 1 x cr123) And then I had forgotten the rkcstr driver shall use 2 x cr123 batteries.

I say thank you very much, it is nice with some helpful people on this forum :)
