Ok if you have a hard drive that is corrupt but still spins it makes a GREAT "time tunnel".
My issue with it is the power supply, right now i have a SATA to 4 pin molex and i use my computer PSU to turn it on. Im looking to get that 4 pin molex to connect to a set of batteries or possibly a wall outlet.
Can anyone help me?

Another problem is turns off after about 30 seconds, then i half to unplug replug. Any fix?

Sorry, but the reply is no ..... the motor is a brushless, and the voltages are required for the electronic that spin it ..... and the 30 seconds turnoff is an automatic function in the electronic for save energy ..... surely it can be bypassed, but trust me, it don't worth the effort.

Just get a pc fan (any fan, also one from a burned PSU, only check that the fan don't "rattle" or vibrate when spin, and glue the mirror in the centre, with the angle that you need ..... more cheap, less headache ;), just need 12V, and smaller :)

alright thank you i have a fan. I was wondering is it the bigger the angle the bigger the "vortex".
I want the cirlce it creates to be about 10-20 inches

Yes, more you keep the mirror inclinated, more the cone is large ..... the shape depends also from where the laser beam come (more is aligned with the mirror face, more the resulting circle is round)
