Hey guys! I'm slowly making a comeback. ;D
But anyways, I'm looking at a <5mW HeNe lasers on eBay and it does NOT include a power supply. I was wondering where the best place to obtain one was or if anyone had an extra or could manage to get one for me at a decent price. I have a modified computer PSU so I have a constant 12VDC power source so I was wondering what else I could need. Any help with this would be great since I am not experienced with gas based lasers in the least. Thank you in advance! :cool:

Check out sam's laser FAQ, he has a lot of instruction on how to build one. They aren't too hard to build, but I think they use really high voltage... like a few kV, but only use a few mA... maybe 5mA. I could be wrong but I'm pretty sure thats a decent 'ballpark' of what they require to run.

Yeah I ran across that a few times. Would be fun to build. I'm still going to hope something pops up on eBay soon enough to buy though.
