I was attempting to see how you Dismantle it by using the two notches here to unscrew the Ir Filter?
Didn't see any way of doing anything else so I put it back together and now the Laser doesn't work. Any Idea's? Or tips on how to Dismantle to check stuff?
Damn only just realised your site doesn't scale images o_O...Sorry for huge Images.

Yah big pictures.. I'll look
Mike

That looks like the focusing ring you turned. You may have turned the whole module in it. Does the switch still click ?? Does it draw current on your meter?

See above and if the module turned and the regulator board didn't, the pump diode wires may be broken. Use your DMM to check for current draw.  I'm not familiar with disassembly of that design.

That piece you removed is the focus lens.  The IR filter is typically a strange blue color.
DMM = Digital multi-meter.  analog will work too.  This is the basic piece of test equipment needed for working in electronics.

Oh again -- does the button still go click?

Interesting, is that a green or red laser? If it is red, then you should have not taken it apart, only DPSS lasers have IR filters. Direct lasers (not pumped from an IR diode), like red ones, do not have IR light because there is no IR diode.
