Hey guys! Just joined up from BLF to ask about a laser I just bought.

I purchased a 200mw (yes I know the specs are BS and I need safety glasses) green laser from a website in china. As I should have expected it was DOA. From what I can tell there is a positive input (spring) but no negative contact point. I probed around on it a bit to try to find it but can't so I'll ask you guys. Here the pictures are.

The spring is negative, the brass casing is positive.

Trying that now guys! :D I guess I shouldn't have trusted the manual. ;)

Edit: Just tried it and it works now! Thanks for the help.

Hey, are you the Scaru from BLF? - I just joined up there not long ago.

Yep same scaru. ;) In fact that's where my guess that the spring was positive came from, it always is positive in flashlights. (Excluding LEDs with a negative base like the PT-54)

With the exception of DPSS lasers, most of the rest are case negative, same as flashlights.

Many, MANY lasers have been killed by the same guess you made... I've done it :p

Glad you didn't kill yours though.

Looking forward to the torture test results... the ones done so far, have been enlightening ;)

So am I. :p If I had killed it I probably could have gotten a refund due to the screwed up directions but it would have been a PIA.

I'll be posting my section of them tomorrow morning, and the package will be sent to mkett after that.
