Help build Multi colored/low power/low budget Laser

BTW - Assuming I get a "real" 5mW 535nm Green - What should be the power of the 650nm Red in order to have similar "visibility"?
(I don't mind regarding the 405nm "visibility" since it'll mostly be used to excite FL materials).

So- checking the current offerings at DX and Dino's - these seems like suitable items to combine for the power rates I required :

Green:
$7.15 - 5mW 532nm Green Laser Pointer Pen with DX Logo (2*AAA)
or
$8.99 - 20mW 532nm Open-back Kaleidoscopic Green Laser Pointer Pen (2×AAA Included) (a bit overpowered - but considering the usual overspec)

Red:
$7.99 - 20mw 650nm High Power Mid-open Red Laser Pointer Pen(2 AAA included) (the "30mw" is $2 more).

Violet:
$12.99 - 405nm 30mW Mini Flashlight Style Violet Purple Blue Laser Pointer Pen (Nice host- but I wonder what will be its "real" output...)

These will total $28.13 - $29.97 - right on budget :yh:
I guess I can check eBay as well - but would like to hear if you guys has any other suggestions or perhaps better deals/alternatives regarding the above "BOM" ...

Don't know from dinodirect, cause from their site i always had very bad and underspec items, and sometimes non working (after their last green i've permanently deleted them from my sellers list).

DealExtreme: $7.15 5mW 532nm Green Laser Pointer Pen with DX Logo (2*AAA) ..... this one looks a bit overspec, following the reviews (anyway, if you dismantle them, you can always turn down the pot for reduce the output, if it's too high)

DealExtreme: $12.30 20mW 405nm Blue-Violet/Royal Purple Laser Pen (2*AAA) ..... this one is only rated as 20mW, so less visible than the green, but if the main purpose is to fluoresce other objects, a low power is good too.

DealExtreme: $10.90 30mW 650nm Red Laser Pointer Pen (2*AAA) ..... this one also don't look so bad ..... still all to try ofcourse, cause is difficult to say anticipately what you get from those suppliers, same as for ebay products .....

And for the red / green visibility, i guess for 5mW green, you need at least 20 or 25mW red.

The ones from ebay that I gave you the link to are all overspec and will do what you want there are reveiws of them here on the forum, Wlaser is a good and reputble seller not to mention fast shipping. loose the rubber bands and add shiny silvertape--thats all 30$ is going to get you-- might even have enough left to get good batteries--

Yup, two or three pointer and some tape. That's all you need, and it'll probably work as good or better than any custom solution at that price point.

If you use black tape you wouldn't even see it.
