I were melting down some shrink tubing and my blue 1.6W 445 or 450nm Laserpointer has some weird frackles kinda looking like a carmourflage now. Does anybody know how to fix it or what I shall do now?
Its just the diode.
As I said I was burning some plastic without anything that could have protected the diode. And if it is really just dirty how should I clean it?
So you just held the uncovered diode up to some plastic to burn it? That is never a good idea, especially not with anything high power. The smoke and residue can get on the diode window (or lens if you have one on the laser), and at the high of powers it will almost immediately get burned onto the surface of the lens/window. You can try isopropyl alcohol+ a -tip, but theres no guarantee it will come off.
