so im a diy guy and i want to build my own laser i could now use some help with heatsinks and yes i want to make one

so what kind of steel,aluminium etc will work best

i have a lathe

just some tips would be good :D

and is heatsink "must have" in hi powered lasers (200mW)?

plenty of threads for this subject just use the search... then you could be more specific. This saves time for the people who can help you the most save their
precious time. Not to be rude it's more fun this way. Also check you-tube for lathe work vids I know they are there.

Copper is probably the best material you could use for a heatsink and YES, they are a must have for most any pointer. There are definitely more experienced members that can help further.
