So most of those Macro lenses will screw directly to the end of the lens, but you're using a tube for that in addition? That's on the kit lens? They have some tubes and stuff at DX too, just wondering if I need them to put on the end.

For those macro shots you might want to pick up one of those cheap 50mm f/1.8 lenses ($100) for your camera. Its low f-stop lets in a ton of light which might be good for those macro photos (or up it for sharpness). No auto-focus, but the little light inside the viewfinder will tell you if it's in focus or not.

I nabbed one of those batteries from DX too. $17 is a great price to pay, about half of the original. Same mAh as well I found. It's good for getting UV filters to protect the lenses too.

Nice composition, lighting, and colors in those photos by the way.

Thanks for the tip about the f1.8 lense :) Will check it out.

About the macro adapter. The adapter is all you need... You put it between your lense and your camera.
No aditional tubes.. When I say tube, I'm talking about the adapter.. The adapter consists of several parts, which lets you determine the length of the adapter (how much macro you want). I use them all on, as I got it, for my shots.

I bought some sleds and extracted my first "real" diode. :) This is a macro shot of it, and I'm going to make a small detailed tutorial on how to get them out later =) Found a really easy way to extract them.

Ahh, thats older pictures :) The diode in that picture you attached is to a CD-Burner, and thats IR. Thisone is an open can red diode.. =) I will be making some drivers for these lasers, and hopefully it will work :)
