Hello everyone,

I have a green 200mW module and I desoldered the driver that was attached to put another driver on it. Here is a picture of it.

Here are the pictures of the driver.

The top pin, the one without the black rings around them was soldered to the side of the driver that said LD+ and C4. The bottom two pins was soldered together to the other side of the driver. My question is, which side is the + and which side is the -? I'm guessing the top pin is positive while the other ones are negative? This is an IR diode so is it case +?

Thanks for help!

Okay I soldered leads back onto it and it still lases with the original driver. Can someone confirm that the top one is + and the bottom one is -?

Don't power it up. The IR diodes in 532nm moduels that I have all had this pinout:

Thanks ARG, that matches what I have here too. The - and the not used pins are soldered together for some reason but the + pin is the one that does not have the black rings around them.

Update, I just turned the laser on and measured the voltage drops with a multimeter. It was +2.3V before the driver and +1.8V after between the black and the red wires. Therefore, the polarity is correct. It is only running at 50mA right now so I guess the voltage is lower.

Thanks for all the help!
