Hey guys!

So today my fog machine stopped working. It has not been working correctly for a while... So I decided it would be a good idea to try and clean it. Now before you all go and attempt this repair... I must say.. DO NOT DO THIS IF YOUR FOG MACHINE WORKS! Now that we got that straight we may begin.

I bought this fog machine about 5 years back. It was starting to output less fog as the years went on. http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_Bf48JKOl5HQ/RwMXHg3t__I/AAAAAAAAATc/glu11d-v_qQ/s400/fog.jpg

So I did some research and found that "Water based" fog machines can be cleaned with a mixture of 50/50 "Distilled water" and "Clear distilled vinegar". I would only reccomend using this method if you notice a serious decrease in your fog machine. If you use normal water and other vinegar you may clog your fog machine because of impurities in the water/vinegar. I am not responsable if you break your fog machine doing this.

Now if your fog machine still does not work or like what happened to mine... you need to take it apart. You will need a T20 wrench (I did anyway) if you have torque screws.. If not I'm not sure what you need. You will need some zip ties or hot glue.. a paperclip maybe a knife and some wire cutters Anyway after you get the top housing off it should look like this.

Now if all of these models are the same as mine (yours may differ) there should be a small hose going from the tank to a small pump. The hose may be blocked with debris (Mine had all kinds of paper in it? Most likely from the cheap seals) If yours has a stainless
filter like mine then you can take the hose off and run some water through it (make sure your tank is empty! Throw the fluid away or run it through a coffee filter) Here's a photo of mine.

You can run water through it or compressed air or whatever you need to do. I used a paperclip to get the gunk loosened and ran water through it until it was clean. After that I put the hose back on which was tight enough to not leak fluid... if yours leaks then you need to put zip ties on it or some hot glue. I then plugged it in and WOAH! It spewed more fog than I could remember when I bought it! So I put everything back together and I now saved my self like 15$!
