Flexdrive = 30 Second Delay ???

I have a challenge here.  I have checked everything else that I can think of and am now looking at the flexdrive.  After the unit sits overnight, it can take up to 30 seconds after being switched on before the laser lights up.  After that first time being fired up, it acts normal (one second delay shortening to no delay with subsequent starts) for the rest of the day.  Sometimes it will do it again if I fire it up after it sits for several hours during the day.    Has anyone else experienced this long delayed start up after sitting?  Am I missing something else that I should be checking?

Peace,
dave

You already 'snapped' off the tabs on the battery pack Dave? If not, it might just simply be a weak connection in your AAA battery pack.

Use a knife and 'snap' or cut the tabs to make sure your batteries make good contact. The thickness of the tabs can cause a weak connection, or no connection at all...

Yeah. Done that. I also stretched the battery spring in the tail cap in case it wasn't pushing up strongly enough.

It's already installed in a host. I'll either have to take it out or have to rig up a carriage. Give me a couple of days.

Peace,

I have 2 flexdrives and it's almost instantaneous turn on when I pull the trigger.
