Hello All!

I am new to LPF and this is my first post.
I saw another thread on here with another user who was doing a very similar build to mine but that thread had been dead for several years so I decided to start a new one.

So I have never built a laser before and I know little about lasers other than the basics (I read through the "I want to build a laser" beginners thread on here).

So I would like to use a PHR-805T diode (It's a 405nm, 120 mW diode), I have ordered two of them from China.
On the thread that I mentioned, the user was planning on using a groove v2 driver, an aixiz module, a lab heatsink, and a 9v battery.
I like this build, however I read that the recommended Voltage for the PHR-805T diode was 7.25 V - 12 V, so I am considering using 5 rechargeable AAA batteries for a total of 7.5 V, in order to run a lower voltage and preserve the life of my laser.

What do you guys think about my build? Any modifications? Any general advice to give me on lasers?
Also, how long would you estimate my laser would last, on average?

Thanks guys! :D
