Buy:
Aurora SH-032 Host with Heatsink for green.
Fasttech 532 module

Alternatively. Buy C6 kit and then get a 520 module w/driver from DTR. Might be easier.

@Pi R Squared it looks like he uses a module almost identical in this vid?

Yes you are quite right. I just clicked on your video link again and got a different video this time and it does appear to be the same kind of green module. Last time I got a video on building a blue laser. I noticed also he was using an 18650 battery. It may be a shorter module with a spring already attached meant for a pen type of pointer, in any case the video is missing some important details.

okay, so do you think i should try the way in the video and cut a spring or something or get a different host?

Well if you must do a 532nm for your first build it may be a little easier with a different host but its no big deal with a C6, its just that a C6 is better suited to builds with a standard AixiZ type of module, also in a C6 the module is electrically isolated from the host.

Do you own a Dremel or maybe a small wire brush to remove a little of the anodizing?

i don't have a dremel but i'm sure i can find a wire brush from somewhere, if i was to do it in an Aurora SH-032 Host is there a heatsink i can find that will fit or will i have to get it custom made, if so I will probably try with the C6 or are there any other hosts more suitable for this build?

or is there a module in a better housing for a similar price that i could use for this build?

Not for a similar price but yes as stated above a 520nm is a better choice, an easier build, better quality but more expensive.

still need help :(

I don't know about the Aurora SH-032 Host. Just use the C6 but don't get the anodized heat sink, just plain aluminum, and the drilled pill or no pill at all.

okay, thank you, so if i get the original module and the C6, an unanodized heatsink and if i cut a spring so its slightly shorter it will all fit hopefully.

Will i need to remove any anodizing on the inside of the c6?
