I ordered an LPC-815 Diode in an Aixiz module.

I built a DDL Driver without a pot using a fixed 3 Ohm.

I want a good clean flashlight laser. My driver will be too big to fit in a module. My question is this. What is a good host that can house this driver+module+ lookin to power it with 2 cr123a maybe rechargables. And at the current I plan on running (im guessing a little less then 416mA with my driver configuration) will a heatsink be absolutely necessary? What kind of duty cycle would I expect without a heatsink?

I tried to build my driver as compact as i could. I think i can post real links and pics now. How big is that space for the driver to sit on? If it fits i will more then likely buy it.

That will fit...

You may have to move that one resistor and trim the board a little, but no problem!

You will just have to clean out the pill and existing resistor that is buried in silicone, and then get a positive lead from the board. The negative is easy for this new style 4171. It has a screw on the pill! See the pictures in my thread...

anyone use one of these as a host, maybe cut off a top portion and drill a hole for a module?

Ok so i ended up using a mini flashlight that i had laying around, i found a nice heatsink for it and got it fitted and working waiting for a diode.
I tested the circuit, it works great, now i originally wanted to use 2 cr123, now the host i have is using the 3 AAA holder.

If i put 3 Ultra Fire 10440 3.6V batteries in it would i brake the LD or driver?? Would i need to run a diode to drop the voltage?
