Few things im not sure of, please advise

Hi there, i have a few questions.

I am pretty new to the whole laser stuff, and here is the way i see it (tell me if im wrong)

U get a diode, put it in a module, attach a driver(or is it the other way round?)

check the diodes graph (what if i dont have one?), and set the driver to the current u want the diode to recieve, based on what mw output u want (is this done via the pot?)

u would prolly set the driver before attachign the diode, i realise this as im typing it ...

what about these multimode drivers tho, how do ppl set the different currents, for the different modes, i've been wondering this for some while now?

then u just stick this into a host and your good ?

(and yes i would wear safety glasses if i where to do this :angel

to set the driver current you need a "dummy load" maybe from here: http://laserpointerforums.com/f64/fs-laser-tools-44115.html
There you can get also a Diode Press which is very suitable to press the diode into the aixiz module.
When the current of the driver is set and the diode is pressed into the module OR a direct press headsink then you can solder the diode to the driver but be careful to solder not too long (Else the diode gets fried)
If you use the aixiz module you can assemble it and put it into the heatsink which you need suitable for your host.
The rest should be fine without writing about

I have some advice for you: Stop posting meaningless NECROPOSTS and start reading yourself!
You spam the forum with useless posts..it seems that you try to get 1000 posts in one week!? :thinking:
