which for example wouldn't work with a pc fan. i guess i'll just try to set something up and turn it by hand first, to see where i have to go. god when will dx ship my pointers...

you sure it wouldnt work? because I think mine are spinning a lot faster than it should, as I use 16V for it :p It gets hot after 30sec to a minute of spinning..
I know its not healthy for the fan, but thats what I got to try out the tunnel thingy ^^

a fan work the tunnel effect works very fine of course, but it won't work for the shutter effect. in fact 12v on the fan should be fine the tunnel, without the fan heating up.
but for the shutter it would be too fast, and the fan won't start spinning under ~7v, depending on its size.

i dont really know the speed. i just upped the voltage form 0V till the desired effect was archieved :D
