DX30mW True died :(

My True 30mW has finally died, after being in TEM01 for a few months and now it doesnt work at all. Looks like the odds of me ever getting another green pointer are slim (Australia, you see) and so I now want to haul ass by putting my 803T (which I havent ever used) into my newwish host. My 803T is in an aixiz module and I have a lavadrive as a driver, so yeah.

However the end of the newwish pointer does not want to come off. Ive read all the threads on it that I could find, and it still won't come off. I guess I dont really need the end bit since my module will be poking out, so how would I go about getting it off?

Cut it off with REALLY big scissors, like the things you cut tree limbs with. or u can try the wiggle technique and use a leather belt and a vice

Use a pair of channel-lock pliers on the silver cap while holding the body. You may want to use a bit of leather and a vise to hold the body if you can't grip it...

I used pliers and my hand. I got the cap off, but I wish you luck getting the module out. It's sealed in there very tightly.
