Its happening again and more often now. The LED lights up but there is no green coming out, not even IR. I charged my batteries and they work for about (sometimes doesn't even work) 5mins in the laser then it dims a lot, then modehops, then goes to zero. Can anybody help me and tell me whats wrong with it? Any help will be appreciated. :'(

these lasers are EXTREMELY hard to open, the top part screws off easy enough but the actual module that is fitted into the body (where the actual lasing goes on) is so tight that i was unable to remove it without destroying the laser

I wasn't planning on opening it  I usually break what I open :-[ Do you think its the battery? Or the laser?

I posted this in the other thread, but I'll post it here too (I didn't know you had a separate thread for it, hehe :p ) Anyway, heres what I said:

Very weird. It really sounds like a battery/driver issue. Do the lasers have a built in battery protection circuit like the RPL's do? If so, the dual protection (on the batteries themselves, and the laser) could be causing problems. Maybe try with unprotected batteries?

I'm using the batteries that came with the laser (it says 3.7v on them and Curiously_Coherent told me they are unprotected). Should I try buying new batteries from DX and see what happens?
