I am looking to build a Blu-Ray laser and am using the tutorial I found on iHacked.com(sorry about not being able to post the link to the tutorial, i don't have enough posts yet) but the lava micro flexdrive it says to use is out of stock and won't be back for 4 weeks so I was going to just use a different driver. The driver I found is the "Surface Mount FULL RANGE ADJUSTABLE Laser Driver Kit" from Stonetek.com. would this work if I were to do everything the same as in the tutorial but with this different driver?

Simple answer is no, as that driver needs 7+ volt input for proper operation. The Dorcy host is 1 3.0 V CR123 / 1 3.6 V RCR123. As far as I'm aware, the lavadrive is the only prebuilt driver that can properly power an 803T using that level of input voltage.
