This is by far this best laser upgrade I've seen so far, most of them just beat up on a poor 5mw diode. This is a great idea to just switch out the whole diode! Now my problem is that when I take the cap off the inside parts wont come out, it's like they are glued in and the cap is just pressed in there. Any ideas?

When someone says you necro'd post it means you took a thread that had been inactive for a while and posted in it. It doesn't sit too well with many members. It's best to start a new thread and link back to this one.

Just my own personal opinion but people who think negro posting is something bad can just sit on it !

I've never seen any one with any intelligence complain about it.

Of course there is that 1% of threads that contribute nothing to lasers that should have been erased anyway.

Any information that is a matter of record here should be allowed to be looked at with out being scoffed at for doing so !

Why the hell are we keeping the information around if were not going to look at it :thinking:

Think about it if you can't have a good laugh over it and then get over it you probably need a drink :crackup:

Remember there is always an exception to the rule :na:

Hello!

I've bought exactly what you described from dx but i'm stuck at getting the module out of the pen. it fits just too hard, any tips?

if you are just using it for the host, you can carefully heat it up with a torch then put it in the clamp and wiggle. just don't expect the driver or dpss mod. to work anymore, but hey if your replacing it no biggie. some pb buster applied right after heating may help too, just remember everything sensitive to heat goes bye bye possibly. Or get 2 vice grips and have at it.(use rags)

yeah, just using it for the host. tried to heat it up but no luck /:
will try with the 2 vice grips later, any other ideas maybe?

not off the top off my head but if you work on it someday it will come free hopefully soon. Good luck if I think of anything I will let you know, I have a feeling it will come off for you with the vice grips, just try twisting back and forth a bit or rocking it a but while pulling, you could try to get it to turn also, most things will unscrew even if they are not a screw.
