Is a home made dac actually possible to make?
I couldn't agree more, he sells the kits on ebay ( cannot find any at the moment). Mine worked like a charm at the first try after building it. It is by far the cheapest way to go. You would need to be at a pretty advanced level of electronics and programming to DIY.NORMS DAC!

I think that is the full kit price, including galvo's.... the old DAC on its own was $23 + P & P... he never seems to overprice anything so it may be worth waiting for his USB one...
