Hey this is probably a stupid question I am planning to buy a NDB7A75 450nm Laser Diode from DTR and a 405-G-2 Glass Lens W/Focus Ring. How would I put the Diode in the lens? And solder leads to the diode?

If you mean you are buying the bare diode not in a module the module or heatsink you use will need M9 threading for the lens. Can you give some details of the module/heatsink you plan to use? If you get the unit from me in the module with the G-2 it will already be in the module.

Here is the host I was planning to use. XML-T6 JAD Kit - $50.00 : Budget Beams LLC Since it already has leads coming out of the heat sink and it says all you need is a diode and lens. So I was wondering how to put the leads on the diode and the lens on. Or would putting your $186 module with G-2 lens work? Im just not sure what to do with the wires.

If you buy that JAD kit, under heat sink choose 12mm module, for current select 3A, then from DTR https://sites.google.com/site/dtrlpf/home/diodes/ndb7a75-3-5w-445nm-diodes buy the module for $186. Then all you have to do is solder together 2 pairs of wires and assemble some parts. This will give you a laser in excess of 4W.

A JAD kit (just add diode), or a plug n burn host, or a no-diode host bundle are usually made to accept a standard 12mm AixiZ type module in order to make assembly easy.

Hey so I bought the NDB7A75 450nm Laser Diode In Copper Module W/Leads & 405-G-2 Lens with First Class Package Service its been 2 days since Shipping Label Created. It hasn't updated I was just wondering if it usually takes this long to ship out.

Everything ships same day or next morning. Tracking can take 24-48 hours to show any scans. If you ordered it two days ago it has been shipped. I can look it up with your name, email or transaction ID and give you more details. Shoot me a PM with them if you don't want to post them on the site.

Also USPS has really been sucking at scanning stuff lately and I have seen it as bad with some not scanning till they are in your town out for delivery.;)

Yep it had some delayed scans. It did ship the day you ordered it and the first scan was 2am the next morning but for some reason it did not display for another 24 hours. That is USPS for you.;)

Hi congratulations on your build nice one you'll be very happy. And yes to DTR U.S. postal has its quirks be patient DTR is very fast shipping I order from him a lot he's the best out there. Question I didn't hear anything about heat shrinking the solder joints to avoid shorting ot your build.
Good luck buddy
:))
