Besure to remove that small optic carefully so you don't damage the diodes window, it should come off rather easily

You nailed it spot on... Ran 245mA through the 655nm and voila! Red laser... Then, like the idiot that I am... I disconnected everything, and then decided I was going to get some pics for you guys, so I reconnected the diode to my driver...and can you guess what I forgot to do? Yep, I brainfarted and didn't short the driver...and ended up LED'ing the thing. Doh! :cryyy:

Oh well, chalk it up as another laser living experience (LLE).
