On all of my builds, I have used small fans that operate at 12v dc. Everyone else seems to use heatsinks. Why? Oh and check out my other post on my new build pls!

A fan alone won't do much on the tiny surface area of an aixiz module. Heatsinks are needed to create a "buffer" of heat storing between the diode and the air, where the heat eventually ends up. Most people use fans only to move the heat faster from the heatsink to the air when long duty cycles are needed, not to replace the whole heatsink itself.

Cant figure out if its homosexual or not. A male member (no pun intended) has a penis for an avatar, spewing rainbow colors.

Not that there is anything wrong with that.
