Can the pot on the Flexdrive break from...

Can the pot on the Flexdrive break from pushing on it too hard with a screw driver?
So, i was adjusting the current on my Flexdrive, and i didn't have my tiny glasses screwdriver, so i was using a bigger one. I was pushing on it pretty hard and then my DMM read "000" instead of "154.9". Could this have been the driver breaking, or just a bad connection? I was trying to get the DMM leads under the resistor leads on my dummy load, and one of the resistor legs broke, so this couldv'e been the cause, but it seemed to be making a connection :-?
I seriously don't know what the cause was...
I need to rest...

EDIT:
When i was setting the current, i don't really know what happened :-?
I fixed all the bad solder joints, and it just doesn't show anything on the DMM except "000"
I think the driver is dead :'(
I am half tempted to hook up a perfectly good diode and see what happens...

It could be also that i don't have 3 hands, and i have to hold wires to the battery terminal while using both leads on my DMM to touch both leads of the resistor on the dummy load...
Does anybody have any tips for keeping the wires on the bateru pack?

get alligator clips for your DMM for the resistor = 2 hands for battery.

Maybe your DMM is dead? The same thing happened to me, and the fuse to my DMM (reading only up to 200mA) broke, so it only read 0. Try measuring other stuff, to see if it works.

Ya, it was my DMM :-[
Phew...

Might have been cheaper if it was your FlexDrive.. depending on quality of your MM.
If my Fluke MM died, I'd go $%^&# over my FlexDrive.

Go to radioshack and get a fuse thats the same one thats in your DMM.

Although, I don't like using the ma's setting because mine gave me a faulse reading. So I use the amp setting and its giving me a better reading.

Yea, i already fixed it

I had a cheap-ass DMM that had its fuse blown. Since I didn't have any fuses, I just connected a thin 26AWG wire between the terminals of the fuse... sure it might not really work well as a fuse, but oh well since the meter was a cheapy anyway and the measurement ability was more important. It still hasn't died though, which is good.
