building my dorcy jr flashlight laser

i will attempt to build my first dorcy jr laser.i will use a RKCSTR Micro-Drive V3 adjustable is it good or not because Darkarmyofone told me that i waste my money.

It is good, I have got lazy and use his drivers all the time rather than making my own.

it IS a linear driver.. so it depends on your needs. Are you looking to drive or Blu- ray diode? Or a red? They have different voltage drops to them that must be considered. You may have better luck with a red diode if you're not going to use the flex drive.

Your running into a problem though. If i recall correctly the dorcy jr. flashlight uses 1 CR123 battery, which at full charge will give you a max of 4.25v

With a rkcstr driver using a blu-ray diode, you need atleast 7.2v for it to operated correctly.

this is why if you want to build the dorcy, you've got the shell out the $26 for a flex drive......

yes I believe it would even fall a bit short for the use of most red diodes..
