Default BlitzLinear Problem

I'm in the process of my first real laser build. I had hooked up my BlitzLinear driver across a test load, but measured no voltage across my 1 ohm resistor. I tested the voltage across the input of the driver and only saw .4 volts. The voltage at the output is around .2 volts. I know that the heatsinking pad needs to be isolated from the case but I used a lot of non-conductive thermal epoxy to attach it to the pill. Attached are photos of my setup. The diodes are positioned with the bands facing away from the resistor. Help would be appreciated.

Looks like there was a short within the pill that caused the problems. But now I think that I have probably killed the driver. My test load shows .08A with 5 diodes, .47 A with 4 diodes and .36 A using an LED'd diode as a test. I have tried hooking it up to a diode, the first on LED'd in less than a second, and thinking it was from not shorting the driver leads, I tried a second diode. This one lasted less than 30 seconds then LED'd too

That looks like a wirewound resistor as well. It doesn't matter on linear drivers so much, but you don't
want to get them mixed up.

Yeah it is wirewound. I couldn't find the proper test load that I made so I just threw one together. But thanks for the warning anyway.
