Ok,
So I'm well on my way to building my first pointer. I've ordered my housing from jayrob, got a phr sled from ebay, and now all I have to worry about is the driver and battery.
I'm just a little confused about what I should be looking at for a driver and battery (perferably rechargable) that I can use with jayrobs housing. Can somebody point me in the right direction?

Which kit did you buy?

If you use a Rkcstr driver it needs 9-12v to run, a Flex driver 3-5v. Your host will dictate the driver you use.

A thought for ya, jayrob usually taylors his builds to the flex drive http://hacylon.case.edu/ebay/laser_diode/Micro_FlexDrive.php usually.

But if you have the need to mount the diode to the module yes you would want to use the rckstr driver his page seems to be down as I was looking for the link here is the forum link. http://laserpointerforums.com/f64/micro-drive-laser-driver-rkcstr-22553.html. good luck

OK you need a Flex drive, and these batteries..

I would not recomend the Rkcstr because the batteries will not give enough voltage.

Had to edit, wrong batteries. You want the protected ones.
