So could I harvest some diodes from this projector, has anyone tore this model apart?

Would this be a good buy

Doesn't appear to be DLP, so probably not of any use. Still has interesting optics in it though.

No laser diodes
As Arg said, there may be some cool optics in it

UHP means its got a Mercury arc lamp for the lights source

You won't find diodes in anything older than around 2010 at the least, and even then only a few specific models have them. That projector was produced in 2000. They are usually mentioned as a "hybrid" light source - but be aware this could also mean it's LED based.

You can find diodes on ebay and craigslist. i think these two places are best to find everything for sale. i hope this will be useful for you.
