I think its metric M9x0,5.

This tread is very rare and very expensive screw tap if it somewere available.
I think best solution is build it on a lath if possible.

9mm-0.5 pitch is thread for Aixiz lens, or the front of aixiz module.

To make thread (tap) hole for screwing in Aixiz module you need 11mm-0.5 pitch Tap

It can be found for about $8

ok, i'm confused...if the Aixiz lens is 9mm-0.5, why would you need a 11mm-0.5 tap? I'm hoping to thread my custom heatsink for the Aixiz collimating lens.

Is this the back end maybe. Could be talking about not using the back-end and screwing the front into a heatsink.

yes,
sorry for not being clearer.

Aixiz module has two metal parts. Longer rear end, and shorter front "module" into which you instal 5.6mm diode.

11mm-0.5 pitch thread is for longer rear end in which front diode module screws in.

9mm-0.5 pitch is thread of the front of the diode module where you would screw in the lens.

thats it. Two sizes.

hope this helps.

I suppose that could be what he meant. I'm going to thread my copper heatsink for the collimating lens only and press the diode directly into the sink. Upon further research, I believe the thread pitch I am seeking is indeed 9mm-0.5. Thanks!
