Aixiz glass lense fitment issues (cant focus)

Ok... so I have a problem with my aixiz glass lens. It is a bit longer than the acrylic ones, this is what creates the problem. I cant screw it down far enough to get the laser in focus. when screwed all the way down, the lens is still too far away from the diode to focus at infinity. Its great for burning because it puts the focal point at about a foot out, but horrible for normal laser use. This is using a kenom barrel, but It's the same way in the aixiz housing. Am I missing something here? Do I need to file off the back half of this thing or what?

Have you put he lens in backwards ? I had seen somewhere that if you flip it around, it will help out some - one option is to slice the can off of the diode - that will get a millimeter or so closer to the diode :p I don't recommend that though !

Yea I tried flipping it around, it doesn't focus right. The dot looks way different backwards. It actually looks kinda cool, but in terms of making a collimated dot, not so much. I guess I'll try to cut the back half off.... I dont see why they would even make a lens like this that cant be focused all the way. This lens is just over 1/8" longer than the acrylic, making focusing to infinity impossible. Actually, in this case, I'm not even sure cutting the diode can off would help as the lens in completely bottoming out against the housing.

Hasn't anyone else ran into this problem?
