i cannot seem to find a good lookin host that will allow the use of a 9 volt battery any suggestions???

I ended up using a Dorcy 6xAAA for 9V (with some modding). It works really good and the batteries last a long time!

thanks, but i was looking for a host that would hold a rectangular 9 volt battery

I took a D Cell Maglite and cut it in half. It fits the 9 volt with some foam padding around the battery. I made an aluminum heatsink for the front. There is a picture on the forum in one of the threads. I'll try to find it
