I've purchased a 6x blu-ray diode sled, without the LD, for the optics. Well I learned, that there is a red diode. Since it is a blu-ray disc burner, the diode should be able of high power :-?. If I'm right, can anybody tell the suggested current for 60 mW?

Those long closed can diodes are very strong. I graphed it here:

Not at low power like you mentioned though. I think that a good place for it is 395mA's. This would put you right around 225mW's through AixiZ acrylic.

Or 270mW's with my Meredith glass lens mod fit for AixiZ shown here:

I happen to have a 6X sled with all optics including the 'cube' that was in front of the blu-ray diode. And the LCC red and IR diodes are still in there. The blu-ray diode is the only thing missing.

$12 dollars shipped. See here:

It's okay, I already got the sleds (2 bucks eatch at Highteckdealz!!). Well, I'm limited with the power... I'm sacred of being blinded by laser.... :-/ I don't have saftey googles. Also I don't want a 30$ heatsink...

EDIT : I wan't to use a 9 volt battery for it so, to prevent from drainning it in 2 min, I prefer low power. Well I also have some 18650 batteries... Is a 9 volt ok for a diode from an LPC-815?

Wow I had no idea the red diode in there was so strong.

Probably why this has been selling out so quickly,
http://hightechdealz.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=4&products_id=32

I won't change the price from my $2 pricetag as I have now. I think I'll have about 8-10 more but won't put those up till I'm forsure when I get home in 1.5 weeks (vacation + business trip).

thanks,
Kendall

Your selling LCC diodes for $2 bucks!

Those diodes are second only to the Long open can diodes in our normal price range. That's got to be the deal of the century!

Loooool!!!!!
I bought two! For the optics. Then I thought about the diode. Thanks for that great deal! Maybe I shouldn't have talked... :D
