I bought a 2w blue laser from freemascot.com and it has been great! But i recently tried cleaning the lens with a qtip that was wet and now it looks like there is water in the lens. Is there a way I can fix this?

Btw, by lens, i am not talking about the focusable lens. I am talking about the "window" (i dont know the correct term)

you could try cleaning again.. but its usually advised to not try and clean the diode window whenever possible.. you got a pic?

Your best bet would be taking the lens off completely, cleaning it again, and drying it with a microfiber cloth. Post some pics if you can and we can help you get it apart- although you may not have to, depends on the lens and if there is a clunky focus adapter on it or not.

oh you mean the diode window? its best to clean that with alcohol, or other solvents, rather than water. don't turn the laser on until you have cleaned it this way, you may burn contaminants into the diode window. i had the same problem with my laser, but i fixed it easily with a q-tip and some rubbing alcohol.

How do i attach a picture?
Also, there is a small blue dot on the window. And I did turn the laser on after using the wet q tip.

click the "go advanced button" below the reply window.. there you will be able to "manage attachments" from there if they are in the right format.
hope that helps. you can also put the images on a image website like photobucket and transfer the URL

well then there may just be something burnt into the window. try cleaning it with the alcohol or acetone q-tip and see how it does. if it isnt fixed, it may be ruined, sorry to say. Blord (a member here) is selling some high power blue lasers in nice hosts for reasonable prices, if you laser is messed up you could replace it with one of his.

As you can hopefully see, there is that blue spot in the center of the window. If this is a problem that cleaning cant fix, then is there a way to replace the window? The other picture is of the "water - type" effect it gives.

Ah- that sucks. That means you have debris burned onto the diode window- you could try taking the diode out and attempt to take the can off, but that would be pretty difficult to do :/

Well crap, that was over $100 and now its basically useless, i might as well try and remove the can.

So is the can just the little lens window thing?
Or will I need to replace the whole diode?

sorry to hear that. ive had a few lasers break over time (2 30$ 650-660nm 200mW laser i broke from touching the open can diode cause i was stoopid, 1 30$ and 2 45$ DPSS green lasers ~100mW, and 1 30$ 200mW 405nm, but these were all cheap crappy chinese lasers, the usual under spec ones, but they werent all in all terrible)

all in all, i would say get a new one. doing anything to the diode is difficult and not guaranteed to work. go to a reputable laser source for a new one, i'd suggest sci-fi lasers, laserbtb (skylasers), Blord or a complete module from DTR's Laser Shop and a pre-wired host for an easy build.
