Go with the 150mW 405nm.

It will be visible, it will allow you to play with fluorescence, and it will burn better.

Thats what i was thinking about. You can paint something with glow in the dark paint and it will work the same right?

I used my 405 to do all kinds of neat fluorescence and phosphorescence experiments. It's one heck of a way to charge anything that glows in the dark. My kid has a ceiling full of those glow in the dark stars and every night he wants them to glow before bed. I set the focus to super-wide and instantaneously charge the whole ceiling in a few sweeps of the beam. Uranium marbles are cool too. Test for impurities in diamonds! Play CSI!

Definitely get the Blu-Ray.
