Hi

I am currently in progress of making a BIG laser show projector, and there is a problem with red module - two 'oclaros' combined with PBS wont be enough for the rest of lasers (green module outputs over 600 mW, blue is a total killer too) , but the big mitsubishi 9mm red diode is too damn expensive for me (cus I need 2 of them). So here comes my question - does anyone have a diode STRONGER than oclaro at this wavelenght, no matter the mount/size (chassis/radiator will be custom made anyway) at a reasonable price, willing to sell it? I remember someone called herussciences sold quite strong used 638's in grabbags? Anyone can help me in this matter? Money is the limiting factor :/

Mitsubishi diode? They are only dual beams I know. Well, if cheaper than new one , I'd maybe buy it

You could ask joeybab3 about where he's getting his for $120. I'm not sure if you'd want that new Mitsubishi anyway. Two split beams would be an even bigger pain to correct. You'd be better off spending the money on optics to knife-edge with the cheaper Oclaros, or correction optics to produce a decent beam with the lasers you have.

Even with 600mW of green @ 520nm, you need only about 2.2W of red. You'd be pretty close with 2x Oclaros at ~1W each.

Thats true im quite askable ;) and u fortunately thats 120 plus 15 shipping so its really only $5 off of the 129+10 shipping offered elsewhere
