Where can I get a 635nm laser pointer?

Aixiz has 5-10mW modules.
Z-bolt has 5mW
20-40mW... never seen any.
You can try Ebay.
I've seen some ~35mW 9mm 635 diodes there.

I have a 635nm labby that does 150mW. That was an Ebay jobbie. Forget what it cost - wasn't super cheap though :D

Erm, have you looked at the first page? There's a 20mW for $26.90 USD. Not that bad.

I did see that but after buying the diode, a driver, a host, the batteries, and maybe a heatsink, It would be just as expensive. Plus the time to put it all together. :-/ Naw.

The reason I want a 635nm is because I hear it is noticeably brighter than a 650nm of the same power. How much brighter will 532nm be than a 635nm of the same power?

My 300mW 650nm appears less bright then my 50mW 532nm. :p I just want a bright red pointer that I can use without worrying I'm gonna severely blind someone or burn everything it touches you know?

Maybe someone can do a GB. But on second though I think most people on this forum care more about mW than nm. :-/

If there was a group buy for 40mW 635nm laser diodes,
Count me in ;)

I totally understand, the laser wouldn't get hot as fast, and the batteries wouldn't drain as fast.

Those diodes are like $200! I was saying there should be a GB on the 635nm 20mW pointers.

Pointers or the diodes? I'd be all over the GB for a full pre-made pointer, diode alone though not so much.

I know! I'm the same! 20mW 635nm for $75 is kinda steep. But I've never seen them any where else. Maybe CNI. I would do a GB but I don't have the time. Anyone? ;D

Might be interesting with a GB for the 635nm 600mW cans from PLT, although I would prefer the TO-3 ones to the 9mm ones, since they are easier to heatsink. Fast axis collimation can be supplied by default, but I doubt they provide dual axis collimation at the quantities a GB could reach. Haven't checked to see if there are any with built-in TEC, but that would also be neat as far as heatsinking is concerned.

Yeah, it's expensive, I meant if we found a different source for them. The most I would pay is $50.

I think Laserglow has a few limited edition 635 nm lasers that go up to over 200 mW. However, they are not listed on the site so you will have to contact Laserglow privately.

Thanks, you've just made my day :D

I've been trying to figure out how to get a HQ laser from the likes of Optotronics, Nova, or Laserglow through EU customs etc. and now, thx to you,  I may just have found a local source  ;)

Once I buy an LP from them I'll let you all know what the quality's like!
