what is a safe current for a LPC 826 diode

Here is a plot for the LPC-826. :)

Hope that helps.

The general consensus is keep it under 500ma to be safe. ;)

Set the current on 100mA. That will make it last very long. :D

You have to decide it for yourself. You see the graph and set the current. I would set it like rocket689 suggest. If it dies buy a new LPC826. They are not expensive diodes.

420~480 is good enough.. It will run at 300+mW perfectly

Depends on what you want to get from the diode , I am using LPC-815's in aixiz which are without heatsink, they dont usually get too much hot before 2~3minutes and works quite well just with aixiz, 2min On and 30Seconds off.. If you want better duty cycle out of it Or want to run it at 500mA+ current u will need that heatsink.. but for shorter duty cycles, no need!

Dear all,

how about if i use it for 2 or three hours non stop.
what is the better current will you recommande?

all the best
