I am building my first Red DIY laser with a 3x AAA host.
I am going to be using energizer NiMH rechargeable batteries and would like to know does it matter what mAh i use.
Should i go low like in the 600mAh range or should i go high in the 1500-2000 Range. Sorry for the Noobish question but i am not sure if the high or low mAh will effect the laser.

If i understand correctly, mAh capacity should only effect the lifetime of the batteries. What circuit are you using?

I will be using the lava driver at 300ma on a 16x dvd burner diode

it should not affect the laser power, just the lifetime
