oww ya i never thaught of that black obsorbs heat kk. does the beam get hot?? or when the beam hits the material the particals in the metirial get annnoyed then start jumping around and going crazy then exploid??
The beam itself doesn't have a temperature, it's just light, but heat is produced when all that light strikes an object. It all depents on how much light the surface absorbs. And also how collimated the beam is.
kk thanks my diode is comming in tommorow and my housing should be in in a bit i had to get in online ... kinda of topic but is ther a store in canada that sells housings??
You have to get the housings online, almost everybody here gets their diodes and housings from here: http://sales.stonetek.org/
You can find diodes, housings, diodes preinstalled in housings, etc.
yea thats where i got my housigns but i dont like using my credit cards online so i was wonderign if ther was a store or somthing . and sombody said that the diodes ther werent the best are ther better??
Who said the diodes there aren't the best. They've performed extremley good, and they're cheap too. Of course they're not the best out there since they're 16x, but you can't beat the price.
The store linked above belongs to SenKat. His diodes are 16x only, if you want more powerful diodes you'll have to get a dvd burner and salvage the diode yourself.
I don't know who's the fool that said they weren't good, but here's a graph of it's performance compared to an open can made by hemlock mike: (note, the senkat diode is the GB sony one)
