Exclamation Wavelength dvd burner ld

anyone know the wavelength of a dvd burner LD is?

What about these glasses for protection?

650nm Laser Eyes Protection Glasses/Goggle

I was told you shouldn't beable to see the laser through the glasses from the site above so how in the world do you burn something if you can't see the light spot?

DVD burner diodes are 650-660nm. Those goggles will work fine. Since these questions get asked all the time, I suggest reading the FAQs and using the search function before posting. They've been answered many times before.

The OD is between 4 and 5, so they cut the intensity to about 1/30.000. You should be able to see the red dot clearly if you aim at something for focusing unless it's rather de-focused. You won't see the beam.
